Founded on the modern application of standardized Phytonutrient ingredients, Sabinsa has also established itself as a manufacturer and supplier of high-quality fine chemicals and organic intermediates.

Sabinsa's efforts have earned the company much deserved recognition that accompanies its growing sales. In October 1995, Dr. Majeed received a National Award for Quality Products (Basic Drugs) from the President of India. For the past two years the company has been placed in the top ten among New Jersey's top 50 fastest growing technology-based companies (NJ Technology Fast 50 Awards).

Natural Products:
Sabinsa Corporation's mission is to provide alternative and complementary natural products for human nutrition and well-being. Historically, many cultures around the world developed the practice of using natural botanical medicines which were indigenous to their region. By the beginning of the 1990's the nutritional industry began to realize the necessity of establishing specific levels of standardization for the active ingredients in botanical extracts. During the past nine years, Sabinsa has brought to the market over fifty standardized botanical extracts. Sabinsa Corporation has also privately funded several clinical studies in conjunction with prestigious institutions in support of these products. With ongoing research both in India and the United States, Sabinsa is pioneering several patentable phytonutrients for the world market. All products intended for human consumption are certified Kosher.

Fine Chemicals:
Many of Sabinsa's natural and synthetic products are used in their pure form in both the pharmaceutical and nutritional industries (for example, Camptothecin and L (+)Selenomethionine). Process development and product innovation form the focus of the ongoing R&D efforts in the company's research facilities, located in the U.S. and in India. Sabinsa has more than thirty scientists working full time to support these efforts. Laboratory and pilot scale production is performed at Sabinsa's research facility near Princeton, NJ. Commercial scale production is carried out at five company-owned facilities in Southern India which handle product volumes ranging from a few hundred kilograms to several hundred tons.
